Mit olvastál utoljára ?

Az én idei egyik kedvencem: Julianne Donaldson: Edenbrooke Én szeretem a romantikus könyveket, és mióta olvastam a Csábítás kilenc szabályát a történelmi romantikusokkal is próbálkozom néha. Sokáig rettegtem a más korokban játszodó könyvektől, de lassan megszeretem őket. Ez egy olyan könyv, amit bármikor újra olvasnék, mindig jó kedvem lenne tőle és kikapcsolna. Szerintem 1-2x olvasásra tök jó, nekem tetszett.

Joanne Fluke: Devil's Food Cake Murder (Hannah Swensen 14.)

Tudom, sokszor lehúztam már ezt a sorozatot, valami perverz kíváncsiság mégis rávesz időnként, hogy továbbolvassam. Na, ez a rész elég jó volt, fordulatos és izgalmas. A befejezés, hogy Normannak gyereke van - na az nagy meglepetés volt, egyben ügyes húzás az írónőtől. Ezzel garantált, hogy elolvasom a következő részt is - majd valamikor, mert nem szeretném, ha a sok édesség és prüdéria megfeküdné a gyomromat.

Julia Quinn: Hogyan fogjunk márkit (A korona szolgálatában 2.)
A lány megpróbálja követni a szabályokat…
Amikor Elizabeth Hotchkiss munkaadója könyvtárában a Hogyan fogjunk márkit egy példányára bukkan, biztos benne, hogy valaki otromba tréfát űz vele. Tudja, hogy kénytelen férjhez menni, hiszen három kisebb testvérét el kell tartania. De vajon ki az, aki kitalálta, mennyire fontos ez neki? A csábítás kézikönyve lehet a megoldás, abból semmi baj nem származhat, ha belenéz egy kicsit.

James Sidwellt, azaz Riverdale márkit azért hívatta magához a nagynénje, mert az idős hölgyet zsarolja valaki. Jamest úgy mutatja be, mint az új jószágigazgatót, akinek első számú gyanúsítottja éppen Elizabeth, a néni társalkodónője. A férfinak felkelti az érdeklődését a vonzó ifjú hölgy a különös kézikönyvével, és felajánlja, hogy segít neki férjet találni, azaz megengedi, hogy rajta próbálja ki a csábítás trükkjeit. Amikor azonban a próba túlságosan is jól sikerül, James tudja, csak egyetlen szabály létezik: Elizabeth menjen férjhez az ő márkijához.

Az első tragikusan rossz rész után félve álltam neki a könyvnek. És láss csodát: jobb volt! Akkor is, ha totálisan kiszámítható, a klisék a szokásosak, egyszóval semmi különleges nincs benne. Amit élveztem, az a humora. Úgy tűnik, ha az írónő nem akar szántszándékkal vicces lenni, sikerül humoros jeleneteket, párbeszédeket és szereplőket (Malcolm, a macska) alkotnia.

Nagyon szeretem M.C. Beaton könyveit, most olvasom A szende Minerva címűt.

Kim Stanley Robinson: Aurora
Tudományos fantasztikum a javából. Kevés cselekmény, sok-sok tudomány és filozófia.

Sandra Brown -Vonzerő
Jó kis hétvégi könyv, tetszett.

Anne Stuart - A Rohan ház 4 - A szégyentelen
Hát, ez óriási volt, eddig ez volt a legjobb rész, legalábbis szerintem. Jó kis szerelmesek közötti csatározás, néha könnyesre röhögtem magam a párbeszédeken. Persze volt benne rejtély és izgalom is és természetesen erotika.

Benedick Rohan vikomt elhatározza, hogy harmadszor is megnősül. Előző házasságai szerencsétlenül végződtek, két felesége is fiatalon halt meg, és egyikük sem ajándékozta meg örökössel, akire pedig már nagyon vágyik. Harmadik feleségének ezért egy fiatal és egészséges nőt szemel ki, aki fiút szülhet neki. Az érzéki örömöket természetesen a jövőben sem tagadja majd meg magától, csak éppen a hitvesi ágyon kívül fogja keresni őket. Vágyai ugyanis olyan buják, hogy kielégítésükre tisztességes nő sohasem vállalkozna. A vikomt alig lát azonban hozzá tervei megvalósításához, amikor a korán megözvegyült Lady Melisande Carstairs egy szélvihar erejével beront az életébe, s hamar fel is forgatja fenekestül…

Joanne Fluke: Cinnamon Roll Murder (Hannah Swensen 15.)
April is a busy time for Hannah Swensen and her bakery; the warm weather makes folks in Lake Eden, Minnesota, go wild for something sweet. When Hannah hears that the Cinnamon Roll Six jazz band will be playing at the town's Weekend Jazz Festival, she's more than happy to bake up a generous supply of their namesake confections to welcome the band to town.
Before the festival even begins, tragedy strikes when the tour bus overturns. Among those injured is Buddy Neiman, the band's beloved keyboard player. Buddy's injuries appear minor, until his condition suddenly takes a turn for the worse--as in dead. Hannah's no doctor, but she suspects that the surgical scissors someone plunged into Buddy's chest may have something to do with it. Hannah isn't sure just how she'll unravel the mystery, but one thing's for sure: nothing's sweeter than bringing a killer to justice. . .

Nem volt kiemelkedően jó, de elszórakoztatott. Van, hogy ennyi is elég.

J. R. Ward - FTT 13 - Az árnyékok
Csodálatos volt, imádtam minden sorát, a humorosat éppúgy, mint a megható, megrázó részeket. Ez a rész igazán lélekemelő volt. Nekem nagyon tetszett és alig várom a következő részt, remélem nem kell annyit várni rá, mint erre.

Trez „Latimer” valójában nem létezik. Árnyékként él és dolgozik az emberi világban ezzel a kitalált személyazonossággal. Kisgyermekként a szülei eladták a S'Hisbe faj királynőjének, Trez viszont elszökött, és bártulajdonosként évek óta a New York állambeli Caldwellben él. A szexrabszolgaság elől menekült el, amire a királynő kényszeríteni akarta. Soha senkire sem tudott igazán támaszkodni… csak ikertestvérére, iAmre.

Történelmi-romantikus, nagyon jó volt. Az utóbbi hónapok messze legjobbja ebben a kategóriában. Kellő mennyiségű humorral és erotikával, fordulattal és izgalommal, 1x-2x még bőgtem is. Kár, hogy a kiadók a sok lapos, 12 egy tucat könyv helyett nem ezt fordítják le és adják ki, tutira népszerű lenne.

Spiró György : Fogság
Kellemes. Spirói precíz történet kedves humorral ízesítve

Susannah Cahalan: Lángoló agy Arany pöttyös, elég komoly történet, de viszonylag gyorsan haladós. Egy újságírónő kálváriája és gyógyulása szépítések nélkül. Azoknak ajánlom, akik érdeklődnek az ilyen témák iránt, semmikép sem egy könnyű pihenésre,kikapcsolódásra való olvasmány.
Natasha Solomons: A Tyneford-ház: Nagyon megható történet, ezzel a könyvvel is viszonylag gyorsan haladtam. sorolhatnám a kedvencek közé is. Egy bécsi zsidó lány története, akit a háború elől Angliába küldenek szolgálónak a luxus világából. Egy letűnt angol korszakban játszódik, ahol komornyikok, szobalányok,egyéb alkalmazottak biztosították a gazdag családok mindennapjait, szigorú szabályok szerint. Olvasásra ajánlom mindenkinek.

C. J. Roberts: Captive in the Dark – Fogoly a sötétben, Seduced in the Dark – Megigézve a sötétben

Annyira megrázó és a történések annyira képesek magukkal ragadni, hogy néha már én is éreztem a szégyent, megaláztatottságot és kiszolgáltatottságot a saját bőrömön. Ha pár jelzővel kellene illetnem a könyveket, azok biztosan a következők lennének: impulzív, sokkoló, rettenetes, magával ragadó, egyedi. Mindenképpen olyan élményt nyújt, amit egyhamar nem felejt el az ember.

Frei Tamás: Agrárbárók
Imádtam! Izgalmas, fordulatos, alig tudtam letenni. Abba inkább nem gondolok bele, hogy nagyon sok igazság van benne...nyugodtabban alszom, ha elhiszem, hogy az egész fikció. Jó lenne, ha a valóságban is létezne egy André, aki helyreteszi a dolgokat.

Brandon Sanderson: Steelheart (Reckoners 1.)
